I am trying to run jmsadmin on windows nt and i get the error:Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/ibm/mq/jms/admin/JMSAdmin

What am i missing in my configuration.

Do you have the com.ibm.mqjms.jar file in your CLASSPATH?

i did not have the file and in the classpath. but then i added the file and some others and now i get :
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/jms/JMSException.

this is whats in my classpath variable:
d:\mqseries\java\lib
d:\mqseries\java\samples\base
d:\mqseries\java\lib\com.ibm.mq.jar
d:\mqseries\java\lib\com.ibm.mqjms.jar
d:\mqseries\java\lib\com.ibm.jms.jar
d:\mqseries\java\lib\com.ibm.jndi.jar
d:\mqseries\java\lib\com.ibm.jta.jar
d:\mqseries\java\lib\com.ibm.ldap.jar
d:\mqseries\java\lib\com.ibm.providerutil.jar
d:\mqseries\java\lib\connector.jar
d:\jdk1.3.1_01\lib\classes.zip

path=d:\mqsereis\java\lib

the file file classes.zip does not exist in the jdk folder?
i am using was studio 4.0, mq 5.2.1, ma88 5.2.1.

Just add jms.jar - not com.ibm.jms.jar. And also make the same changes for jndi.jar & jta.jar
