Hi all,
I highly appreciate if someone can answer my doubts/questions on MQ authorities, as given below:

1. Haw can I validate if the authorities have been provided to all the queues on a queue manager? Is there any other method I can follow other than issuing dspmqaut command against the queues?

2. When i want to provide MQ authority for a parituclar group for all the queues of a particular manager, can i use the wild card (*) to do that. I mean, i have local queues which start with QL so can i provide authorities to 100 queues which start with QL by using the wild card as follows:

setmqaut -m QMGR -n QL* -t queue -g GROUP +allmqi

Please let me know what other options do we have other than +allmqi above.

3. I have some Alias queues (for remote as well as local queues). I have provided MQ authorities to the local and remote queues. But the application people are using the alias queues. Do I still have to provide setmqaut authorities to the Alias Queues as well (even though i have provided authorities to the remote and local queues)?

4. Is there any dis-advantage if I issue authorities for a particular user (using -p flag instead of -g for a group) on the queues on a UNIX box? I've heard that issuing authorities to a particular user on the UNIX server is not a better option. Is that true?

I really appreciate your reply with answers to the above 4 questions. They have been bogging me for a while. I really need your expert advise. Thanks a lot in advance.
