I am running into a .lock issue with websphere(WBIMB version 5.0) eclipse. How do I unlock my workspace? Normally in MQ5.0 when I ran into this issue,I would end up deleting javaw.exe file and that would take care of the issue.
But i m on MQ version 6.0 and I cant see this process to be able to delete it.
Pls advise?
thanks |

I guess so.
If you are talking about "WebSphere MQ Explorer v6", then the process is still javaw.exe.
If you can't see it, maybe you are not able to see processes for the user that is running it. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I am facing the same issue with WMB v6.
When I try to open the toolkit , it says the "workspace is in use, choose a different one".
I see a .lock file in workspace\metadir\ but it doesn't let me delete the file.
Any suggestions please.
thanks.

Get who ever has that workspace open to close the Toolkit. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Users login remotely to that box and apparently when there are connectivity issues their sessions are terminated leaving workspace locked.
You can't ask such users to close the toolkit.
There has got to be some better solution.
If somebody knows it please post.
thnx.

Kill the session in terminal services, and then confirm you can delete the file.
Or restart the entire machine. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
