How can find out whether MQ is running in server mode or client mode
any detailed info appreciated...

if dspmq exists and shows any running qmgrs you are running in server mode...

dspmq is running and there are QMGRs running... So I am in server mode... Thnks but what is the client mode, what it does and how to run mq in client mode... |

There isn't really anything like a "server mode" or a "client mode".
There is a server install and a client install, and an application can make a server connection (also known as a bindings connection) or a client connection.
In other words, you have to take steps when configuring a machine to decide if it will host a server, a client, or both.
