One of our clients has this slow response problem. Because the application fetching the messages in LOCAL Q normally processes 20 messages per minute and in this case its processing 10 messages per minute.

I want to find out the number of MQGETS and MQPUTS made to a LOCAL Q over a period of time.

You can do this using PCF messages and RESET QUEUE STATISTICS.

You can use PCF administrative commands to reset the statistics the queue manager and interpret them.

I'd recommend you check out the System Administration manual, and the PCF & Administration manual, where you will find these concepts fully documented.
