Ever since a few days before Thanksgiving this year there has been a marked increase in the number of spam bot's hitting this these Forums.
I and I assume you have been doing your best to capture their IP information and send it to Duncan so he can block them but recently I have noticed that instead of just starting a thread Usually on the General Forum these bots are now posting reply's in existing threads on a variety of forums.
Please continue to help Duncan and I stay on top of this problem.

It might be helpful to automatically lock any thread older than say 2 months?

thanks for the heads up, I was already monitoring new posts, but now they found another way to dump their garbage...
I report all removed spam posts' IP adresses and users to Brandon.

Yes, I really appreciate your help. I try to look at every new registration and see if it's a spambot, and of course ban IPs, emails, usernames, etc, associated with any known spammers.
