Hi,
I am new to WBIMB and I wanna know how can we transform a message from xml to simple text message and also from xml to MRM or vice versa.
1)Is this done by changing the ESQL in comput node? or do we need to use some tool like Content Master Agent etc.
2)If it is done by changing the ESQL code,then is the statement
"SET OutpootRoot.MRM = InputRoot.XML" correct to transform the xml message to MRM format.
But,this is not working.
3)Also I need to transform a XML message to a simple text message.
Please suggest......

Thanks,
Debasish

I suggest you get training on the product.

It's not easy to learn on your own.

If your boss won't pay for training, then you should start by looking at the samples in the Samples Gallery.

If you're actually using version 5, and not version 6, you might not have the samples gallery I forget.

Either way, you should also start reading the documentation at the Information Center. This is going to be your best place to find out anything.

That's why ESQL is built into the product. There's a manual describing it.

No, that's not correct hence it's not working. Please see above re manual

Please see previous comments re ESQL and manual.

I suggest you spend some quality time with the documentation, which answers all these very simplistic questions, or better still contact your local IBM representative to find the availability of training courses.

(This is of course a cost option, I am in no way associated with IBM and my suggestion of a specific line of training should in no way be taken as an endorsement of said training.)

Happy Reading!

Hi,
Thanks all for the valuable suggestions.I have developed a simple messageflow for the purpose of testing where the input mesage is in the xml format as below:
<Message>
<Body>
TestingMsgFlow
</Body>
</Message>
1)I can get the message on the o/p queue in the same format.But,I need to change the format.As suggested above,I need to define a message set for that.Can you please suggest how can I do that?
2)Can you please suggest the manuals I need to refer.

Thanks and regards,
Debasish

Your first question is answered by the answer to the 2nd, which is:

http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wmbhelp/v6r0m0/index.jsp

(Assuming you're using v6 of the product. Similar reference exists for v5)
