and I want to send mq message with the option of ccsid ,...... so i can't use jms

I very much doubt you want to do that. In 99.9% of cases the message that you send is coded in the CCSID of the sending platform and has that information included. If the target platform uses a different code page it converts it in accordance with the principle "receiver makes good".

Can you explain a bit more why you want to set CCSID, possibly proving you're in the 0.1%?

Of course he wants CCSID, I'd want CCSID in any message I was receiving, the question is why does he (or you) want it set specifically & not allowed to default to the message coding.

Especially if the format he's asking for is "string", because he intends to do conversion as I indicated earlier.

The only thing you might have trouble with in JMS is setting ApplicationID.

I think you can do some searching and find other people who have tried and succeeded or not succeeded at setting that field.

If you can't set that in JMS (and I don't remember), then you will have to use the plain MQ API like you started out. But you won't, as far as I know be able to use a container managed transaction - you'll have to write code to specify the syncpoint options.
