A few questions on remote queueing.
In this scenario: You post a message from machine A to a remote queue definition on machine A and MQ then forwards that message on to machine B's local queue for a client on machine B. Between machine A and B is a WAN with a one way delay of let's say 1 second.
1) If the client on machine A posts 1000 messages onto the remote queue on A (which takes say 5 seconds) will MQ forward each of those message one-by-one, meaning to get to the local queue will take ~1001 seconds? or will it send multiple at a time, meaning it will take ~6 seconds?
2) Can you post to a remote queue definition on machine A and have MQ forward it to multiple local queues on machine B, C, D, and E?
3) Can you post topic messages to a remote queue definition on A and MQ forward that message to B's local queue and then B's broker pick it up?
1) Read the Intercommunications guide. Look at "channel batch size".
2) No.
3) Yes, if you do it carefully. Read the Using Pub/Sub guide. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general.
