I am trying to understand the working of WMB in the real-time applications
like banking, financial institutions, airlines, chemical industries and other
areas. Basically trying to get a feel of what kind of messages get converted
from one format to another in communication between different systems. I understand
that WMB can be used to route, transform, and manipulate messages between mainframes
and ERP systems as well as CRM systems. Can the experts here give some examples of the
same. Maybe an incoming XML message gets converted into so and so formats and gets routed
to so and so ERP/Mainframes. And before routing it gets manipulated in such and such manner.
Or even pointing me to the links where I can find this information will be really helpful.
I would appreciate any help from this wonderful group. |

Any kind of message, that it can take as input.
Any message, going anywhere, in any kind of use case or scenario. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Possible technologies: WMQ, web service, file system, database, CICS transactions, FTP, and more and more...
Possible formats: XML, C, COBOL, SAP, any TDS, any CSV, anything at all...
As mentioned, this is plainly written and easily found in the product manuals. Check out the sticky in the WMB forum. |

I assume the following MQ protocols fall under possible technologies. Does it mean that within WMQ itself we have so many ways of sending information? When are websphere MQ Enterprise Transport/Telemetry transport protocols, MQ Multicast transport/real-time transport and web services tranport protocols used?
Also a question on parsers:
an XML message can be parsed by MRM domain/parser as well as XML domain/parser. In that case what is the need for having 2 different parsers? |
