Hi all,
I have installed Websphere message broker on windows 2003 standard edition. When i am creating a broker using 'mqsicreatebroker' command with oracle 10g database , i am getting following errors
BIP2321E: Database error: ODBC return code '-1'.
BIP8040E: Unable to connect to the database.
I tested ODBC connectivity successfully.
I just want to know that , Is there any additional setup for creating broker on oracle database?
Pls help me.. |

If you do a search on the site you should find the additional parm for oracle.

You need give to the broker's database user grants to create and update tables in his schema too. |

There are a number of pages in the WMB Info Center that talk about creating, connecting and configuring databases. You probably need to go through each of them and verify that you've done everything it says about Oracle in there.
The very very very first thing to make sure is that you are using the MERANT/DataDirect driver for ODBC and not an ORACLE driver.
I don't think mqsi_setupdatabase applies to Windows. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
