Hi,

I need help for Trace Node. That different ways where we can use Trace Node for Error Handling.

Problem.... I want to write Error (In human readable format) to local file system. like problem with compute node or for exception (null pointer)...

In such cases i want to write an error to log file.

What should be the pattern to extract the error string from exception list or from error message?

Most people who use the Trace node just use ${ExceptionList}.

The ExceptionList structure is complicated and not easily transformed into "human readable" form using just a Trace pattern.

You can write ESQL to do this and then store the result in something like Enviornment.Variables.ErrorMessage, and then use a pattern of ${Environment.Variables.ErrorMessage}.

WMB comes with an ErrorHandler sample that includes code to extract ExceptionLists and insert them into a database. In fact, the sample is a subflow that can be directly added to any of your flows.
