I'm an Argentinean people, and this is an exellent software, but $499 is too much (my change is 3x1 ). I use this tool for 1 1/2 years more or less, and i do everithing with this, but i have no chance, i will need change to another tool.

While I agree that going from free to $499 is a big change, I still wanted to stick with a tool I know. I've used a lot worse. I just don't think my company will spring for it, especially if it's a per user license. I think we could at least discuss it if it was on a site-license basis...
When it was freeware I loved it... easy to install, easy to configure, and I didn't even mind the forced-obsolescence after X months (I have to remember that for any future free software I write! )
Good luck with sales... if I wrote something that had that much good word-of-mouth publicity I'm sure I'd try to make some money from it as well.
