i used createmq command to create the QM for embedded messaging. When i try to start the test server which is available in WSADIE, it starts the QM, after that it throw the error
"Starting the Broker"
"Broker terminated abnormaly with code 1"

I installed Websphere MQ 5.3 with CSD10 and installed WEMPS in the same Websphere MQ folder. Please clarify how i can resolve this problem

I'd say you broke things when you installed WEMPS into the same folder as MQ.

I'd also say you don't understand what you're doing well enough, and should go back and read the manuals some more.

Under WAS 5.x, you should ONLY use WEMPS or ONLY use WMQ.

The following information provided by my client for installing softwares
1. Install Websphere MQ for windows 5.3.4
2. Install CSD 09 for Websphere MQ (Service pack)
3. Install WSADIE 5.1.1 base version
4. Install embedded messaging server and client. Install in the same path as that of MQ installation (If the queue manager WAS_localhost_server1 (WAS_<hostname>_<servername>) is not created use the createmq command to create it after completing all the installation. Look into the end of the document for the usage of the command.
5. Install the following patches – all the patches will be put in mecha my home directory
1) Cumulative fix 10 for WSADIE 5.1.1
a. This will have to be installed thru WSADIE. Goto Install and Update perspective and follow the procedure in installation guide.
2) BASE_CF_5.1.1.5 for Websphere application server foundation
a. During installation it will say WAS not found since WAS is installed as an integrated part of WSADIE. Point your WAS directory to $WSADIE_INSTALL_DIRECTORY\WebSphereStudio\ApplicationDeveloperIE\v5.1.1\runtimes\ee_v51 and continue the installation.

Then your client obviously knows more than I do, and can obviously be of more help.

I'm just saying, if your client tells you to install those things in that order, then they must have tried it and it works for them.

So they probably can help you fix the problem you're having.

To me, in my opinion, it looks wrong. But it must work for them, so I'm probably wrong.

I doubt that this part was understood correctly.

Is that the path where MQ is installed or is it the value of MQ_INSTALL variable in WAS that is targeted here ??

Note depending on the install and the sequence of the install they may/will not be the same.

Enjoy
