I remember the MQ Explorer did access all queue managers
(at version 5.3)
using the SYSTEM.ADMIN.SVRCONN channel.

Now, on version 6, it seems to me
Eclipse does NOT use this channel to read all the data it displays.

Can someone confirm this ?
( I have been monitoring the channel number of messages,
and it does NOT increment )

If it does not use it,
then what mechanism is Eclipse using ?

(any book or pointer or url is welcome )

It will use SYSTEM.ADMIN.SVRCONN for any remote queue managers.

It will use a bindings connection for any local queue managers, unless you explicitly add them as remote queue managers.

That has to be the reason I did not see the "message count" increment
when accessing a (local) QMGR
