And what if I refused to walk with you, but insisted on waiting in your office while you went and got the soda?

And what if you had a sign on your door that showed how to find the soad machine, and I refused to read it?

And what if then 100 more people came into your office and asked you the same thing in the same day?

Ok guys, stop......

mqwf you are being ignorant....we are not sitting here to teach you....we are also working people....and just as u have urgent things to complete, we do also....out of that, we find time to answer a few doubts and provide links or hints to some others....we did that for you also...don't expect anything more....else contact IBM support if your left stranded.

Put an end to this...

Regards.

Awwww go easy on the guy .. after all he is willing to walk with all of us to the soda machine .... I wonder does that offer stand even if we all show up at different times? Would he mind walking over and over again to the Soda machine. Specially if the directions to the soda machine are clearly posted on walls all around his office which we all just choose to ignore.
RTFM kinda says it all.

............but you want to take it one step further. and have someone get the soda from the machine for you, and pour it into a cup, because you don't like to drink from a can.

...such kind of thread teaches you lot of things

Yes, tough love hurts, but on the bright side, everyone's refusal to spoon-feed you has evidently caused you to become more self-sufficient, and apparently sarcastic as well (welcome to the club).

I take pride in contributing to your evolution.

.......and now you get a happy face

This thread reminds me of a Star Trek episode where machines controlled all the vital functions of a planet's society. All they had was a list of what buttons to push. But the people had, over time, become ignorant of how any of the equipment worked, and were thus unable to fix them when something went wrong.

Have you seen the episode of Stargate where they come to a planet overrun by environmental problems. The computer runs everything : the shrinking forcefield, the town in it, the data access via wireless (MQ?) memory link directly to the brain of the people and is rewriting the history and environmental perception of the city as it slowly dies...

So if something "unsavory" happened to you or you "might" endanger the city, history is rewritten and you never existed even if you are standing right in front of people...

Creepy...
