5.2 is years out of service. Install a supported version, 5.3 or 6.0. _________________ MQSeries.net helps those who help themselves.. |

Found this by seaching for the probe id in your FDC:
http://www.mqseries.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4309&sid=7713fec412c8236c3cc3bd4dea60e984
Also got a hit off the IBM site for it, but it was raised in China. My language skills are too limited to understand the PMR.
I repeat the position of Nigelg - 5.2 is unsupported and as much use now as a can of dinosaur repellant.
Whatever you're installing it for, it's no good. Get 5.3 at least (and apply the latest CSD!) _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

You don't mention what platform you're running on.
I would speculate that whatever platform that is is more modern than 5.2 & contains memory management features that 5.2 doesn't understand or doesn't agree with. If this is the case, I doubt there's a solution.
Another possibility is that base 5.2 was as stable as I am after 2 cups of espresso. It may just not work without some CSDs applied, and I don't think (but will stand correction) that 5.2 CSDs are still available.
Above all this, it's old, it's useless and is a waste of your valuable time trying to fiddle with it. What is the constraint that keeps you at 5.2? _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

The major risk of running an unsupported versionis exactly the risk that you have fallen onto. That something will happen and you can't get a fix without upgrading it.
Whoever has made the decision to continue to use an unsupported version should have been aware of this risk. It should therefore come as no surprise to them that they have rolled the dice and lost. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Hi Vitor,
Thanks for giving me your valuable time and suggestions. Actually we have only 5.2 version with us . So this is the constraint that i have. Do you have any idea about what CSD's required for MQ 5.2 so that i can check at my end.

You can easily purchase the v6 from your IBM sales representative. If you have purchased software maintenance, you probably are already licensed for v6.
You will have to search the IBM support site for the CSDs for v5.2.

"With us"? I should hope that the site has access to 5.3 via their license...
Moving swiftly on, what CSDs are needed for 5.2 - I would say the latest one!!!!!
I've had a quick look on the IBM site (it's lunchtime here & that's less valuable) and I can't find a link to download 5.2 CSDs. Again I urge you to get hold of 5.3! _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

For example:

WMQ version 6 mqver returns:
Code: |
mqver has been replaced by the dspmqver command.
See the WebSphere MQ System Administration documentation for details.
|
(at least on my HP-UX server). So you'll have to use dspmqver instead. |
