In my understanding, the SYSTEM.DEF.CLUSSDR channel is like a model channel. When the proper cluster sdr and rcvr channel are running, why this SYSTEM.DEF.CLUSSDR channel is in retying mode? Have any one of you had this problem? how can we get red of it? I already googled but nothing useful.
Thanks a lot |

You do not want to get rid of it as it is the default template for channels of this type.
If you stop it to status INACTIVE does it try to restart?
Is there any target information, or cluster information on the channel's definition?

The problem occured in this way:
During the maintenance windows, the person suspend the cluster, bring down the qmgr, clear the ipcs, and started the qmgr. They did not check the listener before resume the cluster. Due this reason, first the channel were not running. I was reported later on. I asked to suspent the cluster, shutdonw the qmgr, bring it up, start listener, and resume the cluster. Every things seems ok, one receiver channel does not seem running and this SYSTEM.DEF.CLUSSDR channel was in retrying still.
Get rid I mean, from the running status it does not maen from the sytem. I already asked to stop the channel. I am stil not srue whether system is working perfectly. I am support from outside of the systems.
Thank you very much for your insight and sharing the experiences. |

Put that channel in mode inactive and don't start it manually. That should do the trick...
