I am just beginning to learn z/OS and have a box with MQ and DB2 installed although not quite sure how to verify that. Has anyone ever done this that can help me out? I have the Program Directory for WMBv6 (http://publibfp.boulder.ibm.com/epubs/pdf/i1025951.pdf) but with my lack of z/OS knowledge, the terminology is unknown to me. I am looking in Section 6 of this document. The first question I need to answer is: Does Message Broker need to be installed in its own SMP/E environment. If anyone can provide pointers, some initial step by step instructions or has the time to work with me through some of the steps, I would really appreciate it.
