Dear All,

We have WebSphere MQ 5.3 CSD 11 installed in HP-UX 11i. The problem is that whenever we are trying to stsrt one of our queue manager , it is giving the error :

Quote:
AMQ9603: Error accessing the process pool shared segment.

But we are not facing any problem to start other existing queue manager at the same host.

Could you anybody please come up with any suggestion ?

Thanks & Regards,
Ranodip

Google wrote:
AMQ9603Error accessing the process pool shared segment.
Severity:
30 : Severe error

Explanation:
The program could not access the process pool shared segment

Response:
A value of <insert_1> was returned from the subsystem when an attempt was made to access the Channel process pool shared memory. Contact the systems administrator, who should examine the log files to determine why the program was unable to access the process pool shared segment.

So what's your systems administrator (or the log files) got to say?

The shared memory referred to is associated with the channel pool process amqrmppa, and contains details of the channels running in each process. I suggest closing down all qmgrs on the machine and running amqiclen to remove shared memory and associated files.
The syntax is
Code:
amqiclen -x

Hi Nigelg,

Thanks for your help. I would definitely ask our administrator to tryout this one if we don't get any other option because otherwise all qmanagers/applications will get affected.
