Hi -
WHen I try to run ./lauch_wmbt.sh from the command prompt on Linux I get "permision denied".
Any clues as to what i need to do to launch the toolkit on Linux?
Thanks! |

- run as the correct user (the one that has installed the toolkit).
- set the correct rights to the file |

Hi & thanks for the quick reply-
I installed as root. When I run as root I still get the error. The premissions that are currently set are as follows (these files are in the install root of the toolkit):
-rw-r--r-- launch_wmbt.sh
-rw-r--r-- wmbt.bin
-rw-r--r-- wmbt.ini
These are the permisions that were set durring installation. It is obvious that I need execute permisions to run this. Do you know if there is any documentation that states what the permissions should be set to?
Thanks! |

So I reset the permisions on the 3 files mentioned. Now I get an error that "the license can not be found". I feel that I may be missing something fundamental here. |

Go back and ensure that the installation completed successfully. I recently had the exact problem, the install failed because it ran out of memory....
look for the log here: /opt/ibm/MessageBrokersToolkit/6.0/logs _________________ -wayne |

I see a lot of entries that say
sExecException: Caonnot allocate memory.
I guess I need to unitstall what is here and start over, are there minimum memmory requirements for the installation?
Thanks! |

I suspect the doc gives a number for minimum memory. I installed it on a vmware image in 1G. _________________ -wayne |

The uninstall.bin file is not in /<install_root>/wmbt_prod/_unist directory, any idea how I can go about uninstalling the toolkit so I can reinstall it?
Thanks! |

What happens if you just try to re-install? _________________ -wayne |

I tried that, the installation barks about the version of RAD and directs me to update. No help there. I opened a PMR, and the level 2 tech said I could jsut blow away the ToolKit install directory. I did that and am now able to reinstall. I'll update with the results.
Thanks! |

Success!
This install is on VMWare with RHEL AS 4.2, I originaly only had 512 MB of memmory aloted and I guess that was not enough, so the installation failed. I upped the memory to 1GB, and once I deleted the original installation it installed just fine. The manual say's 512 MB is the minimum with 1 GB recomended. |
