I'll believe it when I see it. Possibly even not then if I've been lax with my medication schedule.....

I remember an article (it might even have been in ComputerWorld) back in the late 80s / early 90s that predicted that not only would all the COBOL in the world have been rewritten in Java by the year 2000, but the mainframe would have been replaced by the clustered mid-range server.

It'll probably happen one day. Just after the paperless office becomes widespread.
