Problem while running Linear log script

Hi,
I tried to run the MQ LInear Log script in my production box this morning again, but found the following error:
tar: 0511-194 Reached end-of-file before expected
This is the production box, and never happened before this way. Could some one tell me why is this happening, and what should be done to rectify it?
MQ- 5.3 CSD 8
OSLevel: AIX 5.3.0.0

you have enough disk space?

The disk space used is 88% in the directory where the log files are stored(whic means we still have 2 gigs of space left). Do you think it needs to have more space than that?

Tyr running it with 'sh -x'. It will write the command it is executing to stdout, so you can see where it is going wrong.
