Hi All,

This could be a wild imagination. I want to change my queue manager name (just for fun). I was trying to edit mqs.ini file, changed the queue manager name and saved it. Now, dspmq command displays new queue manager name. But, I am not able to start my new queue manager. (Guess the error code)

. Have anyone tried this before?

Renaming a queue mamanger is not supported.

You need to create a queue manager with the new name and then recreate the desired objects (saveqmgr is useful for this).

Playing around with the file systems even if you got it to work would leave you with an unsupported environment.

If you are just doing it for grins and giggles I think there was some discussion on how to do this earlier this year.
