I have a client that on closing (using MQclose) needs to delete all the messages in the queue. However, the MQCO_DELETE and MQCO_DELETE_PURGE options are not valid on predefined queues. Is there any options that allows me to delete the messages from a predefined queue when I execute MQclose?

NO There is no option to empty a premanent queue when you close it.

The only options are:
- empty the queue with a loop of MQGET until the queue is empty.
- run a MQSC command "CLEAR QLOCAL" after your application has run (the command only works if no application has opened the queue).
- or maybe put an expiry on messages if the application design allows it.
