i don't know the exact details , but when i set a default value for the mapping .. then during runtime , when no value is passed to the container it would have the default value that was set during the modeling.
So, if a value is passed to the container then that definitely gets mapped and not the default value.

obviously .. this is what my understanding of default value was.

The fdl that i tested is my official stuff so i cant send it to u. u can just create a two step activity, hard code the second activity and send a diffrent value from the first one to test this right.

You code up the FDL, ensure that it works like you are saying, and then send that to me. Because I know if I do it it will work EXACTLY as I have explained.
