Hi Friends,
When I created the Broker and confguration mannager I could connect it bur now i am getting following errors when I am trying to start the Broker and Configuration manager Service.
Meanehile i have 'restarted' my machine once.
C:\Program Files\IBM\MQSI\6.0>mqsistart POCCONMGR
BIP8026E: Unable to start the component.
The component could not be started using the service userid that was supplied wh
en the component was created.
Ensure that the service userid and password are still valid. Ensure that the ser
vice userid has permission to access all of the products directories, specifical
ly the 'bin' and 'log' directories. Check for system messages (on Windows NT th
is would be the application event log).
Getting Same Error when i am truing to start the Broker Service.
Some information about my setup.
I have installed Message Broker Tool kit and RunTime component on my windows machine(XP).
I am connecting the DB2 DataBase on remote machine with the DB2 Client. My Broker database(BRKDB) is at remote database
I have created the Broker and Configurationmanager with my loginID and passward i.e LoginID/UserID : 43226677
i have used following command to create the Message Broker :
C:\Program Files\IBM\MQSI\6.0>mqsicreatebroker POCBRK -i 43226677 -a pss@1910 -q WS_POC -n BRKDB -u gcoepan -p abcd1234
I can connect to database through client using UserID:'gcoepan' and Passward : 'abcd1234
Any guess about how to get ridoff this problem?

Hi PankajS,
Firstly I am not sure if you can use '@' in the password for MB...
Secondly, check if your User has expired...
Regards. |

but the service password and userid are:
Quote: |
-i 43226677 -a pss@1910 |
Its not complaining that it can't connect to the database, it's complaining that it can't start the service (ie, NET START "IBM MQSeries Broker BROKER5")... _________________ -wayne |

As suggested by wschutz, ensure that the user 43226677 has the authority to start services (i.e. is in Administrators).
For future reference, please post questions like this to the "Websphere Business Integration Support (WBI/WMQI/WMB/MQSI)" forum.
Thanks
