Quite correct. My bad. I forgot this was an AIX thing. |

We need a new Forum titled Classics, and move all threads like this one there.

jeevan,
Were you able to get the QM created? Is that the issue? Or are you missing default queues on the QM that you were able to create? _________________ Peter Potkay

Peter,
my problem was not simply creating q manager, I know that. There was a problem. I could not set up setmqcap and the reason was that systems q manager was not setup. That was my question.
Anyway, it is interesting forum anyway. Sometime, we should be human rather than an expert and make laugh. Hope you guys enjoy my questions.
hope to u dun get bored
thanks |

A very noble approach....but what if

Turns out to be wrong after all? Then that is just plain boneheaded.
I realise that if English isn't your primary language that this can lead to frustration on both sides but I when statements are made like

This hardly helps us to help you. If the create for the queue manager failed then it will have spit out an error message. If that is the case..what was it? If you don't know HOW to create the queue manager then it is time to hit the manuals. Creating a queue manager isn't difficult that is why people don't understand the issue you are having.
It also doesn't help that you are seeming to avoid answering the questions like Peter asked...

In order for us to help you you have to help us to understand just what the issue is...'My queue manager isn't working' type posts just won't get it done. |

Let me a confess one thing. Sometime my communication has been poor. Definitely, my first language is not english. But so far as the questions I asekd, unlike some colleagues think, I do not simpley asked without doing effort myself. I try my best first, but when I could not find the answer in red book or in infocentre, then I asked questions.
thaks for all who try to understand even when my question was not clear and try to help. Thanks a lot
cheers |

@jeevan
Stop trying to play yourself off as a victim.
This is a technical forum devoted to WMQ Support, Programming and Administration.
Even though there are a great many people who are willing to help this is not a Unix support forum. If you have a question about Unix, don't post it in a WMQ related forum.
When posting in WMQ Related forum, please do endeavor to express yourself better. I realize as do many that english may not be your first language but it is the language of technology.
You can't expect anyone to respond to your questions or help you solve your problems if you can't express yourself in a coherant manor.
If you don't know how to uncompress a .Z file or un-tar a tar ball, if you are not familiar with the "ls -la" command. If you don't possess the skills to ftp files from one server to another and you don't possess the ability to view an FFST file then you are quite frankly out of your element.
I have no idea how you ended up being assigned to administer WMQSeries at your place of work but it is painfully apparent that you do not posess any of the skills or knowledge required to do so.
Many well intentioned members of this BBS have done their level best to help you in spite of your lack of cooperation.
It is not the purpose of these Forums to provide you with the equivalent of a computer science degree.
You remind me of the endless episodes of the TV show COPS in which hispanic suspects claim they don't speak english but you sure can spell words like communication, definitely and colleague.
Now! This is going to be how it works. You will overcome your language barrier and start asking coherant questions in the correct forum and we'll try to help you.
Otherwise, you can pack up your game and head out west because if you don't, I will drop back and go left on you. _________________ Yes, I am an agent of Satan but my duties are largely ceremonial. |
