Hi ,

Ours is a small MQ environment. We have to restore MQ on a diffrent server from backup. Meaning the UNIX team has taken a system backup, all the applications filesystems using Tivoli storage manager on to a tape. They will be restoring the entire system on a diffrent UNIX server.

So when the system is restored and using our scrips(which also will be restored from tapes) we will be starting MQSeries? All the MQ Objects will come from the backup right??? Is there any thing to be considered before ?

Thanks
Raj

One important thing to be sure of is : ensure no MQ processes (queue managers, apps, command server, listeners, channel initiator...) are running while the /var/mqm and /var/mqm/log file systems are copied to tape.
