Hi All

I am trying to use the debugger for the first time and am having problems.

I am following the manual step by step.

I have attached the flow engine in the Flow Debug perspective.

But i cant find the message flow in the flow-engine.

The manual says i should double clik on the message flow and then add breakpoint. (in the flow debugger perpective).

How do I know which flow engine my flow is in? Although, I have tried selecting both the flow engines that come up when i connect to the localhost but none of them had the message flow.

Am I missing a step?

Plz help

If you have multiple execution groups on broker, you need select the one with your deployed flows execution group

It is running and I think it started automatically before the event broker is started.

Do you think it will help if I restart broker?

I have only one exec grp on the broker.

But when I connect to localhost I get two flow engines!! Is that normal?

thanks

If you hit debug perspective and then followed attach, where you can see two localhost with different port numbers or with other one remote hostname?

No i dont see two localhosts.

Theres only one localhost but when i go into the localhost i see two flow engines
for example

Code:
BROK1:default[2200]
BROK1:default[2500]

Then when i go into either of them i get

Code:
HEDF234IT:BROK1:default:DataFlowEngine

but the message flow does not show up here

thanks

do you have any deployed message flows on your execution group "default"

if you have some , then stop and start agent controller , still a problem then stop agent controller and stop and start broker, then start agent controller.

Stopping and starting the Rational Agent Controller service
When you have successfully installed Rational Agent Controller, the Rational Agent Controller service is started automatically on Windows. You can stop and start the service using the Services window. You are strongly recommended to change the Startup type from Automatic to Manual. If you do not use the flow debugger, stop the Rational Agent Controller service.

I believe OS is windows

Ok heres what happened when stopped the agent controller.

When i connect to the localhost, it is asking for userid and password and it is not letting me go in.

My userid and password have all the permissions and is the same userid i created the broker with.

What do u think is wrong?

thanks for ur help
