Packaging a few JARs with our own client Java App is very very appealing for this project.
I have a team of Java Engineers who will be doing the bulk of work -- what is the best way to initiate install of a Java Application that will include these MQ Jars?
As you can tell we are trying to do this as painlessly for the customer's users as possible -- our hope is via a Web Page they only need to click Yes in response to our need for installing a new client piece.
One other question - an engineer I worked with threw out Multicast/UDP as a best approach for Pub/Sub. Any thoughts on Multicast/UDP with Websphere MQ Pub/Sub?

| If you want multicast, you'll have to move off of the MA0C broker and onto one of the Event Broker products. |

Which is another point.
Maybe you should look at Event Broker instead of Message Broker, as it's mostly just the Pub/Sub engine, and is a lesser cost item.

Will do -- so the product I should consider if we want to leverage Multicast/UDP is WebSphereMQ Event Broker?
Is WebSphereMQ Event Broker just another flavor of Queue Manager? |

The Event Broker is another flavor of the broker products. They've changed names over the years. Usually what you hear is one called the Integrator broker and the other Event broker. I believe the latest release is actually called WebSphere Event Broker and WebSphere Message Broker.
The difference between the two products is that event broker doesn't have any of the message transformation and routing capabilities that come with integrator broker. |
