Our shop has just begun migrating from Message broker v2.1 to v6.0. We are currently managing our own repository of MQ objects (message flows, message sets etc..) but we are considering moving to a third party version control system. We would be interested in hearing from anyone using a third party VCS and what the advantages are from one to another.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
Best Regards,
Sebastian

You can use pretty much any VCS that has an Eclipse plugin that is compatible with the version of Eclipse running the MB v6.0 Tooling (I hope this is v3.1 of Eclipse, but it might be v3.0).
And they all pretty much work the same from within eclipse - with any changes being related to how the VCS system works rather than anything else.
So the concepts are the same, mostly, but the workflow might be different - but only because different VCS systems encourage different types of development workflows. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
