I have just now created a queue manager and a local queue in it. I ma using amqsputc to put a test message in it and i am getting error

MQCONN ended with reason code 2058

i have started the queue manager but this is not my default queue manager. Can anybody tell me where am i going wrong. I need this ASAP.

why do you use amqsputc? if the queuemanager is local use

amqsput qname qmgrname

amqsputc is the client version, and you must set the mqserver environment before. read the quick beginnings, read the administration guide.

i am sorry for posting a new thread.

now i used amqsput and am getting MQOPEN ended with reason code 2085. I have been getting this error for a queue on which i was able to put messages yesterday.

Also how can i stop and start the mq process on solaris server?

as has been said read the quick beginnings

make sure you are typing the correct QM and Q names and in teh correct case!!!!!!

2085 is UNKNOWN OBJECT NAME, as said make sure you are typing in the queue name correctly and in the correct case.

As said work thtough the quick beginnings you'll find all you need in there.
