Hello,
During the installation of WMQ 5.3 on a Windows cluster I am getting problems with COM. The logging of Windows states that AMQSVC.EXE doesn't have the right credentials to update COM. After this the server has to be restored from backup..... .
I am using the standard installation wizard and do not execute the wizard to configure WMQ for the network (using the special account).
The configuration:
- Windows 2003 SP1 UK
- WMQ 5.3
- MSCS
- AD domain with the ' domain mqm' group
- special domain user for WMQ, member of ' domain mqm' group
Any thoughts?

Why not? |
The corruption occurs during the installation and before the wizard asks for the special user for WMQ to run under. Even then the error with COM occurs. We did not use the wizard to exclude the possibilty that applying the special user is the reason for the error.

This sounds like a WIN 2003 and WMQ problem, so I think you should open a ticket on the problem.
There should be something in CSD11 that might help you. It seems like MS have added more security rules in W2k3...
I'm investigating a similar problem.
