After I upgraded from 5.3 CSD 7 to WMQ 6.0 I lost the MQ Explorer. I have installed the prereq Eclipse software but the Explorer option is still grayed out on the status icon. From Start Programs, it is not even listed. Is there something special that needs to be done that I missed? I am running on a Windows 2003 DC. I have configured the domain account as well. _________________ Salvation can only be achieved through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. |

If the eclipse pre-req from the CD has been installed, you may still have to go to the custom installation page and manually select the Explorer to be installed. This should be possible even if you already have done the V6 upgrade. _________________ --

Ok, now that the MQ Explorer is installed my queues and channels are not showing up. I verified that they did not get blown away during the upgrade by using the RUNMQSC commands. How do I get the Channels/Queues folders to show up? _________________ Salvation can only be achieved through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. |

Do you mean they are not showing, or that the queue manager is not connected and you don't have queues folders on the left hand side?
If the folders are not visible then you should find that the Explorer has not connected to the queue manager correctly. This can be seen from the icon which will have a clear background and the "Properties QuickView" on the right hand side should be blank with the words "[Not Available]" next to it.
If the queue manager is not connected then press right mouse button on the queue manager and select "Connect" any problems should be reported as an error. You will need specific model queues defined and the command server running to be able to connect.
By default the queue is not created so as not to compromise security, you can either create it manually using MQSC or use strmqm -c to recreate the default objects. _________________ --
