hi allI
f I have a batch COBOL program that writes to both MQSeries queues and DB2 tables, then should I give 2 seperate commits (MQseries commit and DB2 commit) for both these resources to get committed? If this is not the correct strategy what needs to be done?
can any one help me on this query..
rgds

Vinodh,
You might want to use 2-phase commit where MQSeries will act as Transaction coordinator and DB2 database manager becomes resource manager that participates in global transaction.
For more information please read Chapter 12 in MQSeries System Administration manual. _________________ Kiran

Hi folks,
I guess that you're dealing with Z/OS and therefore you could use RRS, to help you on this topic.
The easiest way was just linking CSQBRRSI instead of CSQBSTUB.
This gives you the ability to make MQCMIT also doing DB2-COMMIT.
Ofcause the cleanest way was to invoke SRRCMIT/SRRBACK, this would require that you link CSQBRSTB...
But it's all in los manualos
