Hi,

In our environment we have MQ and MQ Series Link for R/3 on AIX . For Disaster recovery we need to take a backup of MQ filesystems . Is a online backup enough ? or we need to take MQ file system back up when MQ is shutdown?

There is an entire chapter in the Systems Administrations guide for MQ on backup and recovery.

A whole Redbook too. Its a bit old, but the concepts are all still valid.
