Hello all
Mq Client 5.3 on Windows 2003 server and QM on the Mainframe Ver 5.3
Client server connection to Mainframe
Client side Dot Net app getting triggered from the Q on the Mainframe
Trigger Monitor runs as a service on the client(runmqtmc.exe)

All was working no problems til last friday evening when for an unknown reason , triggering stopped and all my msgs were on the Queue.I looked at windows sservices and everything seems to be in order.Onthe Mainframe Queue Manager channel , if you browse the connections you cannot see the connection to my 2003 server.Today my network guys told me that the connection is getting cut and the client is not retrying to establish the connection..Is there a way to make the MQ client Trig monitor program retry to connect to the mainframe when a network failure happens....If i go with these kinda issue , probably i am going to have this issue every time our Mainframe gets IPLed.....

Any thoughts???

Also there is been a reference to a support pack MA7K??Do i need to install this on my windows 2003 server??

Yeah, the supplied MQ client doesn't retry, unless you do something like put it in a .bat file that loops for you.

You might want to checkout the supportpak Ma7k:

http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg24000149&loc=en_US&cs=utf-8&lang=en

It is written to be a widows service, it does retry, multiple threads, writes to the windows event log, etc.

I know of some customers that are using it on Win2003 server.

Your zOS configuration should work as well.... if you have any problems, post them here ...
