Dear MQ Gurus,

Iam facing a strange problem after my NT box crashed due to raid card failure. I have noticed that MQAI.REPLY queues are being created in one of our queue managers on a W2K box.

When attempting to view the messages, there are none and the message count is zero. Wen i try to refresh the queue depth it throws me an error object damaged. The object was damaged and could not be accessed, the object may be deleted.

Also let me know why these queues are created dynamically?

The QM on our NT has one of these queues only and it now shows a message count but there are no messages. I've tried to delete these queues all to no avail - "object in use" message appears. Please help to sort out this issue.

With regards
venkat

First off, do NOT post your question many times.

Secondly, if you do not understand these queues and are not interested in reading the manual to figure what is going on, then in MQ Explorer, select Queue then click (un-select) the second last button on the toolbar ('Show/Hide Temporary Queues') and then your problem will be gone. Don't forget to click File -> Save.

Regards,
Roger Lacroix

Roger's right, albeit somewhat annoyed - These are rather standard MQ problems and queries, the answer to all which is either in the manuals or available on previous threads by using the Search button on the upper right portion of your screen.

If, after you search 'till your eyes hurt, and spend restless nights reading material, you still can't figure it out, we'll be more than happy to help; until then, bon chance!
