Does anyone knows a tool that reports on the size of MQ messages per day/week (per queue or group of queues)? We want to monitor an application that will process messages between 100K and sometimes 4MB.

Peter... MQ V6 allows you to collect these statistics:

There are vendor tools that support this too.... you could also collect
them yourself via the "API Exit" in V5.3+
