Hi All,

The CAST function has the option to specify the CCSID and the Encoding. When do we use these ?

When you need to.

Rather than asking, try some things. See what's different when you do one thing versus another.

As a suggested line of inquiry, look at the results of casting a BLOB to a STRING when you specify a CCSID and when you don't.
