Sometimes in our process models, a NOOP activity is taking long time to trasfer data from input container to output container. Say for example, here is one scenario

Received 04.08.2005 12:20:08
Finished 04.08.2005 12:20:18

Above case, it took 10 seconds to complete a NOOP. These time stamps are from History tab in my webclient monitor. Can anybody tell me, on what circumstances we see this long completion.

Is it because of complexity of the model ? It is NOT happening frequently....

This looks strange... but if you really think that it is due to moving the data from the output to the input container, why bother? This is a NOOP right, so you should be able to map the data to activity NOOP+1 from activities before NOOP.

Sorry for digging this one up, but it intrigues me. We have several NOOP activities and from my experience, you have to have a Default Data Connector on the NOOP that transfers the Input container elements to the Output container, otherwise, your Output container elements will all be blank. Am I wrong in this assumption? John, what do you mean by, NOOP+1?

You are right. By NOOP + 1 John meant the next activity after the NOOP activity.
