Probably, you need to open a PMR with IBM.

It may help to try the same code on a different platform, and confirm that it is not a linux-specific issue.

I have one opened already. That is taking quite a bit of time, since I need to get the message across crossing different levels of support engineers.

If I can atleast get it confirmed as a known issue, I can do something about it:-
Was hoping to get some help in this forum, if someone has experienced such an issue before....

Any way thanks.

If you are not happy with the service you are receiving on your PMR, you can ask the "Duty Manager" to get involved.

I can't help on this issue, sorry.

O.K. now that I finally had some time to look into the code you showed at the url...

a few questions and facts:

a) XA support is only given if the TM and the MQ Server (QManager) are on the same box(bindings connection) or you need the "transactional client" libraries (same cost as MQServer). If this is not the case you should set the XASupport to No.
b) Which way did you integrate the QM (see Tibco Example)?
if JNDI can we see the JNDI definitions ?
c) Have you tried a 2 phase commit with a DB both inbound (MDB) and outbound ?

d) Which is the direction giving you grief ?
We used outbound from the ATG JMS to WMQ JMS in a 2 phase commit (XA) and had no major problems. (The ATG TM is XA compliant but not J2EE compliant in our version)

e) Are you aware that in its implementation of the SOA architecture (Websphere 6.0 and WMQ6.0) IBM WAS is using a different messaging engine with DB based persistency which has a QMGR to QMGR connection to WebsphereMQ ?

I hope that clears up some misunderstandings.

Beyond that as Jeff said it is PMR land...
