We have several distributed apps deployed with the v5.2 com.ibm.mq.jar. We are looking to point from v5.2 qm to a v5.3 qm. The apps seem to run OK, ie. no MQ errors. What are the risks associated with using v5.2 com.ibm.mq.jar with a v5.3 queue manager?
I know that I should consider upgrading to the v5.3 mq.jar just wanted to know "what if.."
Your 5.2 client apps can't utilize 5.3 features, like SSL. Otherwise you should be OK. We have lots of apps in that scenario here. Of course, whenever there is a problem, the 1st thing IBM will tell you is to upgrade that client and see if the problem goes away. _________________ Peter Potkay
