Just pulled this off the mqintegrator newsgroup:
(Thought you want to know this...)
Quote: |
The CSD1 produced for Windows 2K/XP (U200200 - for Message Broker and
U200199 for Event Broker) had errors in the saving of the directory
structures which resulted in an incorrect application and only the
workbench tooling was actually updated. Wednesday night these two CSDs
were pulled from the website. They should be replaced sometime today
(Thursday) or tomorrow.
Due to the methods used to apply the CSDs, they cannot be backed out.
Therefore, once the repaired CSDs are available, you will have to
uninstall the product and reinstall. Note that if you have installed the
Message Broker, it also installed the Event Broker and the Workbench
tooling. Using the Add Remove function, you will need to uninstall all
three products.
Personally, I intend on also deleting my broker, config mgr and the
associated queue manager as well as dropping the associated databases to
ensure that I have a clean install.
The WBIMB/EB development team regrets that this has happened.

The CSD01 U20020.exe for Windows has been re-released this morning.
So you can re-download all 400 MBs of it. |

I received an email from the MQ list server (below) saying that if one had downloaded CSD1 before 11th July, then to download it again.
However, I downloaded it again yesterday, and the file is exactly the same size to the byte (410,891,867) as before.
How can one verify that one has the correct CSD?
Thanks
Alan

An issue has been identified with Fix Pack 01 for Windows on WebSphere
Business Integration Event Broker for Windows 2K/XP V5.0 and WebSphere
Business Integration Message Broker for Windows 2K/XP V5.0, involving the
installation of files into the wrong directories. The symptom that may be
present is the Installation dialog displaying multiple Confirmation Error
message windows about overwriting existing extracted files.
A replacement file is now available from the download site
http://www.ibm.com/software/integration/mqfamily/support.
Anyone who has downloaded the Windows Fix Pack 01 drivers for Message
Broker or Event Broker on or prior to 11/7/03 should obtain the replacement
file.
Anyone who has installed the Windows Fix Pack 01 drivers for Message
Broker or Event Broker on or prior to 11/7/03 should uninstall
the product, re-install the GA code and then install the new version of the
Fix Pack.
We apologize if this information is not of interest. You have been sent
this email because you are registered as having downloaded Fix Pack 01.
Please do not reply to this note. Contact IBM Support for further
assistance. |

The issue with the fix pack was not with the actual fixes, but with the logic in the installer (as I understand it). So it seems reasonable that the replacement would be exactly the same size. |
