IPPROCS and OPPROCS

Can anyone tell me about these.If the value of these values is 1, does it in anyway affect the performance.

What do tey mean.

IPROCS is a count of how many applications have the queu open to GET messages.

OPROCS is a count of how many applications have the queue open for putting messages to it.

For keeping IPROCS/OPROCS straight in my head, I use this silly little memory trick.

Open a queue to take messages Into a program = Iprocs (I=I).

Open a queue to shoot messages Out of a program (and Onto the queue = Oprocs (O=O).
