I am trying to Install WMQI (Windows2000). I installed DB2 first, then MQseries. When I try to install WMQI, I get

"A problem was detected in the registry entry of DB2. Please Check your registry (BIP8640W)".

Did any one come across this situation. PLEASE HELP.

Did you check the message from MQSI? (BIP8640W)

Did you hit any problem on the DB2 installation?

Below is the explanation and solution from the MQSI message manual

Quote:

Explanation: The install code has detected
inconsistencies in the registry structure that it was
expecting for DB2. This may be due to a previous DB2
install failure or to corruption of the DB2 entries.

User Response: If you suspect that the inconsistencies
are due to a previous DB2 install failure then you
should attempt reinstall of DB2, otherwise you should
contact IBM support.

Please test it out.
