I can't find any reference for this. Does anyone know how I can install MQSeries 5.3 Server (for Windows XP) with the system tray icon hidden. I know that I can hide it manually, but can I script it?

TIA,
Steve

Is there any way you can take the Shortcut out of the StartUp folder, via a script, after the install.

Cheers,

For 5.3, this "WebSphere MQ Task Bar" is in the All Users.

For 5.2 it's called "MQSeries Task Bar", also in All Users.

If it truly is being started, then the only other place it could be is in the Registry under one of the Run keys. Can't be bothered to look up the full name.

Cheers,

Well I found it under all users, but I swear I looked in there and there was nothing there.
