Now that the new version of MQSI/WMQI (WebSphere Business Integration Message Broker) is now available as GA, I think there should be a new forum created.

I think that it will be reasonably clear to use the same forum. There are significant changes in the new version that will be immediately apparent when someone posts a question about them. In addition, current forum users typically post their version.

There is almost as big a jump in features and methods of workignbetween MQSI v2.0 and WMQIB (nonNeon) v 2.1 CSD04, and it has not been a problem using the same forum for these products.

Also, I believe that if a new forum is created, the current forum will have very small utilization within a year. How many questions that are specific to MQSI v2.0 have been posted to the WMQI forum within the last month?

But maybe the forum name could be changed?

Or maybe we should wait and see what IBM does with ibm.software.websphere.mqintegrator on news.software.ibm.com.

My personal feeling is maybe to just rename the forum to make clear it is for both the new name WMQIB and the old WMQI and MQSI. But there are far more posts in that forum than any of the others, so if enough people think we should break them up, then I'm all for it.

Initially I voted for a new forum, but the argument of migration and keeping this small crowd as it is focussed and aware of future and past problems... I now think it should remain one forum.

we could start to agree on the short names though... on IBM sites

WBIMB refers to WebSphere Business Integration Message Broker and
WBIEB refers to WebSphere Business Integration Event Broker...

now all we need is the product... ah and it's first CSD...!
