I have installed MQSI 2.1 DB2 7.1
Created all the Db as given in MQSI NT installation guide,
Created the User mqsiuid with added groups Administrator, mqbrasgn, mqbrdevt, mqbrops, mqbrtpic mqbrkrs and mqm for the id.
While creating the Config mgr i am getting a warning in the Application Event log
"( ConfigMgr ) An error has occurred while accessing the NNSY message repository database.
The Configuration Manager's NNSY interface has failed to start because the NNSY formats database has not been correctly configured. Details of the NNSY error are recorded in the NNSYMessageLog.nml file. The NNSYMessageLog.nml is normally located in the WMQI bin directory. The Configuration Manager will continue to run, but without NNSY support.
If NNSY support is required, complete the NNSY configuration and restart the Configuration Manager. "
I started the Control center i am getting error in Application Event Log
"( ConfigMgr ) Unknown user encountered within the Configuration Manager.
An unknown user exception was caught by the Configuration Manager RoleManager class when calling the UGRegistry class. The user has not been given access to the resource.
Retry the operation. If the exception still occurs, turn on Configuration Manager tracing to capture details of the exception, and contact your IBM support center. "
And i could not able to do any thing on the Control center like add/create Broker from topology any idea why this error.
Please reply if some body know the solution.
I have logged in to the System using Administrator and added the groups ,mqbrasgn, mqbrdevt, mqbrops, mqbrtpic mqbrkrs and mqm.
Thanks ,

I can't help you with your NNSY problem.
Your Control Center problem sounds like you are trying to authenticate a user that isn't in the right groups.
Are you running the Control Center while logged in as your mqsiuid user? Did you do a Refresh Security in MQseries, or restart the ConfigMgr queue manager after you added mqsiuid to the mqm group?
Are you trying to authenticate users from a different domain than the ConfigMgr machine is running in? |

For the NNSY warning - BIP1999 - we get this when starting the configmgr too. If you look at the NNSYMessageLog.nml file it shows that either the nnsyreg.dat file can't be found or it doesn't contain a MQSI_CONFIG entry. Have you configured NNSY for this machine? We have it installed but only use the rules & formatter GUIs, so have not set up the environment variable or nnsyreg.dat file.
As the warning says, if you don't need to use it then you could just ignore it...
Cheers,

Thanks for your reply.
I am getting the same error even when logging as mqsiuid.
How to do the "Refresh Security in MQseries"
I created the mqsiuid then only i created the Config manger there by creating the Configmgr Queue manager. I created the Queue manger using the createconfigmanager command.
I have done all these things in the same NT machine.
For the NNSY i have installed it not done any thing more what to do to make it work.
Thanks ,

There's an MQSC command called 'Refresh Security'. You execute it the same way you excute any other MQSC command - probably using the runmqsc command. |

Could you please make sure that the MQSI services are started using mqsiuid user. Also, I'd like to see the commands that you have used for creating Config Mgr. Did you check that the listner is created on the config mgr queue manager and it's in running state? What CSD level you are at? Do you get any error into Windows Event Veiwer when starting the Configmgr and Broker services? _________________ Kiran
